May 11, Candice rated it it was amazing Recommends it for: When I unthinkabe the end, I had developed an even greater appreciation for my own upbringing, and it was hard not for me to consider myself lucky. I enjoyed the book, not for everyone but a good read for people interested in exploring family dynamics. In our family garden my husband is of the genus Narcissuswhich includes daffodils and jonquils and a host of other ornamental flowers.

It was super well written, funny at times. Mar 02, Sallie Ben Attar rated it really liked it. Contrasted with these unrhinkable moments were a few incredibly intense moments between Jacob and his father that affected me so deeply that they jacib had me in tears.

Everything rings true to life, reminiscent as it is of adolescence, including the drunken orgiastic party near the end with four almost adult kids and the two fifteen-year-olds. His antics, while funny to hear in description, were also painful in the second-hand embarrassment type of way.
